We simply use the Citra Memory difference equation above to convert our gateshark code to citra. In this example, I am using fairy sword on B button for Majoras Mask 3DS. We now test the Citra memory difference by using another gateshark code. (Converting Gateshark codes to Citra Address codes) NOTE: THE CITRA ADDRESS CHANGES EVERYTIME YOU RE-OPEN CITRA SO MY CITRA ADDRESS WILL NOT MATCH YOURS We now subtract the 3DS address from the Citra address like so:

We need to use a hex calculator to find that difference. In order to do that, we need to find the difference between the address. Now that we have our Citra memory address for rupees, and the 3DS memory address for rupees, we will need to convert any other codes we find in cheatengine to gateshark codes so other people can use them. Since we remove the gateshark instruction, we now have our 3DS memory address for rupees.

The reason we do this is because the first number just tells gateshark how to handle the code. Now we change the first number of the address to zero We just need the address so we remove the second part: We then take our 3DS Gateshark address and change the first number in the address to "0". Now we open up notepad and type the address that is now our Citra memory address for rupees. You may now remove any other codes we added to the address list as we have found the code we are looking for. If you do not see a change, continue to try changing the value to 99 on the other codes in the list (if there are any). If your Rupees now show 99, congratulations you found the code we are looking for.
Double click on the value (this will be the number of rupees you have) and change it to 99. Now your code result(s) should be added to the bottom list. Select the option to "Add selected addresses to the address list". Right click the codes generated by Cheat engine (in the list on the left). Lastly, I repeat the above process by going in game, changing my rupee count, changing the search for the number of rupees I have in game, and continuing to "Next Scan" until we are left with just a couple of entries in the code list. Now I click "Next Scan" which should now reduce the number of codes in the list on the left side of the cheat engine window. This means I need to change the number in cheat engine from 12 to the new value which is now "6". I deposited 6 rupees, leaving my rupees at 6 (since we originally had 12). After I change the value in cheat engine to match the new value in game. I then either deposit / withdraw rupees using the bank to change the value. This should generate a huge list of codes on the left side of the screen. I then input the number 12 and click "First Scan".
I start off with 12 rupees and set cheat engine to "Exact Value" "2 Bytes" -make sure hex value is unchecked. In this example I will be using the bank in MM3D to Add and Subtract Rupees. You will need to use cheat engine to find the code that controls your value. Next, go to the cheat engine window and select open and select the citra process Load up Citra and start your game (MM3DS in this case) prior to loading up cheat engine.
